18th meeting of the COOMET President’s Council

On the 20-21 of November 2013 Slovak Institute of Metrology (Bratislava, Slovakia) hosted the 18th meeting of the COOMET President’s Council.

The meeting was attended by the COOMET President, Vice-presidents, COOMET Secretariat and other participants.

The Russian delegation was composed of:

  • V. Krutikov, COOMET President, FSUE «VNIIOFI» Director, head of the delegation;
  • N. Muravskaya, Deputy Chairman of COOMET TC 3.1, Deputy Director of FSUE «VNIIOFI»;
  • S. Komissarov, Head of COOMET Secretariat, Head of the FSUE «VNIIMS» International Cooperation Department;
  • N. Sedova, COOMET Secretariat assistant, leading engineer of FSUE «VNIIMS» International Cooperation Department;
  • V. Bugaev, Chairman of COOMET SC 4.2, Head of FSUE «VNIIFTRI» laboratory.

One of the central issues was the vacant position of COOMET Vice-President as the result of change of management in SMU, as well as the related issue of the Quality Forum and its Technical Committee.

Finaly, SMU Director A. Gonda agreed to take the position of Vice-president, the TC’s Quality Forum will be headed by N. Muravskaya, and the Quality Forum – by A. Odin from PTB (Germany).

Also, during this meeting the results of COOMET work in 2013 in all major areas of cooperation were summed up, and the Programme of COOMET NMIs Comparisons was signed. The meeting approved the amendments to COOMET publications and 2 new documents, the main COOMET in 2014 were discussed. In addition, participants reviewed the results of the COOMET 2011 - 2013 Cooperation Programme and adopted a new Programme for 2014 - 2016.
